About Daniel
Daniel Hafner is Head of Operations at Open Circle. He is deeply committed to ensuring the secure and high-performance operation of our IT infrastructure. He also leads the Service Desk & Support team.
His professional journey began with an apprenticeship as a computer scientist specialising in systems engineering with the Swiss Confederation. After completing his training, he joined the Swiss Army’s air defence forces to train as a guard master. He was then drawn to Canada for an exciting year abroad.
Daniel gained a wide range of professional experience: He first worked as an IT supporter at a medical service provider, then as an IT manager at a sports marketing company and as an operations engineer at a cloud solution provider. He also founded an esports agency, where he worked as a technical project manager and IT manager.
Daniel is very active in his free time. He is passionate about computer games, loves going to concerts and festivals and spends his winter days on the slopes skiing and snowboarding. He is also an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy novels.
