About Andreas
Andreas Ratchev has joined Open Circle as an intern in the System Engineering department. Among other things, he is actively supporting the team with the upcoming firewall change and the migration from the data centre.
Before Andreas joined Open Circle, he worked for almost four years as an e-learning manager at the Swiss Epilepsy Foundation. There he was able to gain valuable experience at the interface between technology and educational work. Andreas originally comes from a completely different subject area: he completed his bachelor’s degree in Japanese Studies in 2019, giving him an exciting perspective and an interdisciplinary mindset. He is currently studying computer science at the ZHAW, where he is deepening his technical expertise.
His enthusiasm for IT is not only evident in his studies, but also in his free time: as a passionate open source enthusiast and long-time Linux user, Andreas has a strong affinity for technology.
Away from the screen, he likes to spend his time with his dog, powerlifting or playing a game of Magic: The Gathering or Dungeons & Dragons – preferably in good company.
