Initial situation and challenge: modern, powerful cloud solution with high data security

Nivell’s main objective was to set up a new operating software infrastructure (ERP) that was flexible but still met the high security requirements for managing sensitive customer data. The first step was to lay fiber optic cables in order to create the basis for a high-performance IT structure at both locations and to remain competitive. The previous cloud solution no longer seemed up to date and, after intensive consultation, was placed in the hands of Open Circle and its partner Hayloft.

Two factors convinced us: the management of users’ cloud profiles and the fact that the data is stored in an absolutely secure location in Switzerland.

Solution: IT partnership with Open Circle

The support of all server profiles by Open Circle offered the optimal solution for Nivell. It uses the Virtual Workplace with six virtual servers and another Virtual Server for the ERP system from Open Circle.

Implementation: ideal software profiles for competitiveness and data protection

Nivell works with Microsoft 365 on the Virtual Workplace. Various documents can be securely stored on the File Server and shared between colleagues at the various locations. They also have their own drive architecture that meets the requirements of the parent company. To store the highly sensitive data, Open Circle has set up the backup so that the data is stored for three months.

More efficiency and stability: Nivell relies on smart technology!

The modern interface makes Nivell’s daily work easier. The combination of a powerful fiber optic line and good performance in the Swiss data center ensures optimal performance. Video calls between Nivell and customers now also work perfectly with a stable line. In addition, Open Circle established various programs for them, including a cost-saving drawing program and a newsletter mailing tool.

Result: strong IT structure for optimum customer support

The IT partnership with Open Circle enables Nivell to meet its high standards of customer support and remain competitive as a well-known Swiss mechanical engineering company. Thanks to the collaboration, the important topics of IT security and modern IT equipment have come into focus and enable the management of both sites and Nivell’s customers to be even better connected.

That is an improvement. We work with the new IT solution and Microsoft 365 – in other words, thanks to Open Circle on a modern, up-to-date interface.

Conclusion: Marketability through innovation

Nivell stands for precision and innovation – this is also reflected in the partnership with Open Circle.

In the future, the ERP structure will offer a fully integrated solution for the entire company. In addition to order management, production processes are also set to follow suit in 2025. There are many interfaces that need to be considered here. The ERP provider’s software programmers and the Nivell project team are already in contact with Open Circle.
