What you can expect from OPEN CIRCLE Backup

Backup

Depending on your needs, we back up virtual servers (VMs), M365 users and other S3-compatible data sources (e.g. local NAS systems or applications). We use Veeam Backup for VMs and Microsoft 365. For everything else, we offer S3-compatible buckets.

Backup of VM and data

We back up both your VMs and your data. In addition to files, databases and documents, we also store your operating system, applications/programmes and configurations.

Single or Dual

Depending on your requirements, we back up your data at one or two locations in Switzerland. With single backup, we create a copy of your data and store it in the second firebreak of Data Centre A. With dual backup, we create an additional copy and store it in Data Centre B.

Encryption

VM and M365 backups are transferred and stored in encrypted form. Backups from other sources must be encrypted on the client side. All backups managed by us are transferred and stored exclusively in encrypted form.

Interval

You determine the interval of your backup. We make the appropriate configurations.

Retention period

You determine the retention period for your backup. We make the appropriate configurations.

Tape backup

In the event of increased security requirements, we regularly back up your data to physical tape. You determine the interval yourself. The tapes are sent to you by post, can be collected from the Open Circle office in Zurich or, if desired, stored in our safe.

Backup to external storage

Would you like to copy the data from your virtual servers, which we operate for you in the Swiss Business Cloud, to an on-site NAS or another storage medium? We would be happy to configure your individual backup to external storage.

Restore as needed

If your data has been lost or damaged due to an unexpected event, we will perform a backup restore at your request.
