We regularly back up your business data onto backup tapes and then store these in a separate location, for example in your office or in a bank safe-deposit box. In this way, we create an additional, physically separate copy of your business-critical data, which remains protected even in the event of cyber-attacks, malware or system failures. If necessary, we can restore your data at any time. By outsourcing to tape, we add a particularly robust and independent layer of protection to your digital data backup.

Backing up VMs and S3 buckets

We support both VM backups and S3 backups. External data can be uploaded via an S3 bucket. NAS systems can also be integrated via an S3-compatible connection or backup solution and subsequently backed up to tape. We would be happy to review your specific use case with you.

Storage

You decide where your backup tapes are stored: at Open Circle, on your premises or in a bank safe-deposit box.

Encryption

All backups managed by us are stored exclusively in encrypted form.

Interval

You can set the backup-to-tape interval yourself – annually, half-yearly, quarterly or monthly.

30-year service life

Backup tapes offer reliable long-term archiving with a lifespan of up to 30 years.

LTO-8 or LTO-9

For our backup solutions, we rely on LTO-8 and LTO-9 tape technology to ensure high capacity, reliability and long-term data security.

Restore as required

If your data is lost or damaged as a result of an unexpected event, we will restore it from the backup upon request.
