Open Circle has successfully completed the modernisation of its Swiss Business Cloud. The aim was to sustainably increase the stability, security and scalability of services for customers and to further expand the digital sovereignty of the IT solution for SMEs.
‘By modernising our data centre infrastructure, we have created a powerful and future-proof foundation for our customers,’ says Pascal Mages, CTO of Open Circle. ‘The new hardware, the migration of the virtualisation platform to Nutanix and optimised network connections enable us to operate specialist applications, terminal servers, file servers and IAM services much more efficiently, quickly and flexibly.’
The two data centre locations in Bern and Zurich are designed as equivalent, redundant data centres and are connected to each other via two geo-redundant interconnect links. In addition, the connection to SwissIX and direct peering with Init7 ensure shorter routes to the data centre and even more reliable access to cloud services.
‘For our customers, this means higher performance, better scalability and greater flexibility when using the Swiss Business Cloud,’ adds Pascal Mages. ‘These measures are part of our long-term product roadmap, with which we are continuously developing our cloud services.’ The next step will be to specifically renew existing products and services and introduce new solutions in order to further expand our digitally sovereign offering.
